16 Isuzu Traviz trucks will serve Mindoro Oriental as rescue vehicles

Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC), officially presented 16 units of the Traviz Rescue Vehicle to the 2nd District of Oriental Mindoro.

In a ceremony held last July 27, 2023, Isuzu Calapan proudly handed over these vehicles to Oriental Mindoro 2nd District Representative Alfonso Umali Jr., Oriental Mindoro 2nd District Board Member Jean Paulo Umali, Pinamalayan Mayor Aristeo Baldos, and Mansalay Mayor Ferdinand Maliwanag. It was a significant occasion that highlighted the commitment of Isuzu Philippines Corporation to enhancing emergency response capabilities and fostering positive contributions to the region.

IPC President Tetsuya Fujita was unable to attend the event in person, nevertheless, he conveyed his heartfelt appreciation to the province through a recorded message, acknowledging their unwavering trust in Isuzu vehicles.

“It is our honor to be part of this program to assist in helping our Kababayans here in Mindoro, especially during this rainy season, when there are a lot of Typhoons and disasters.”

IPC has already delivered a previous batch of Traviz Rescue Vehicles to the LGU which are now actively serving the surrounding barangays. The latest delivery represents a continuation of the LGU's ongoing endeavor to modernize and reinforce their rescue operations, with plans to allocate these vehicles to 136 barangays within the province. This initiative underscores the commitment to enhancing emergency response capabilities and ensuring the safety and well-being of the local communities.

Congressman Umali expressed the reasons behind their district's continued preference for Isuzu trucks, stating, We trust Isuzu TRAVIZ due to its mobility – dahil sa reliability, matibay at sigurado tayo.”
