Hino Motors Philippines (HMP) rolls out a new lineup of light-duty trucks. The 300 Series of Hino is comprised of the new 414i, 414i Long, 414i 6W, 841i, and 841i Extra Long. These new trucks are loaded with features and can be configured to address a wide range of business needs. Hino claims that these trucks are the “perfect logistics partners” for any business or entrepreneur.

The revised front fascia features a new Hino grille design, reshaped headlights, bumper, and foglamps. The cabin also gets an upgrade, with a brown-colored interior, ergonomic seats, and convenient storage spaces for many odds and ends.

Powering these trucks is the new Hino N04C-WW Euro 4 engine. The reported power figures are at 140 hp and 400 Nm of torque, making it one of the more powerful options out in the 4,000 to 4,490 gross vehicle weight segment of trucks. The transmission is an Aisin RE50 gearbox and its alternator is also capable of generating 12 volts and 130 amps, making them ideal candidates for refrigerated deliveries.

Going up the ladder of variants, you also get longer chassis to accommodate more load, with the gross vehicle weights going up from 4,490 kg to 7,500 kg, with the largest and most load-bearing truck being the 814i Extra Long, which is an 18-footer, and which features impressive space for hauling more cargo in one go.

“Hino is determined to serve the Filipino entrepreneur as we are the only commercial vehicle brand in the nation to provide a full one-stop shop advantage. From the delivery of truck chassis through manufacturing of the rear body and all phases of aftersales, we strive to provide increased uptime while reducing operational cost. That is the pledge of total support from Hino,”
