The numbers are in, and Isuzu is still the country’s truck leader. Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) has once again topped the local truck market, achieving a 10 percent increase in sales from January to August 2025 compared to the same period last year. Based on the combined sales report from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) and the Truck Manufacturers Association, Inc. (TMA), IPC sold 3,200 truck units during the period, up from 2,912 units in 2024. This growth helped the company secure a 42.7 percent overall market share, keeping it the leading truck brand in the country.
Category III light-duty trucks remained the strongest performer with 1,934 units sold, taking a 42.9 percent share of the segment. This was driven by the continued popularity of the Isuzu N-Series, known for its reliable engine, sturdy build, and driver-friendly features. The availability of Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) makes it easier to drive in traffic and on varied road conditions, while the ergonomic cabin design keeps drivers comfortable during long hours on the road. These qualities have made the N-Series a go-to choice for logistics and delivery businesses across the Philippines.
Medium-duty Category IV trucks also showed solid growth, with 998 units sold and a 43 percent market share — an increase of 4.4 percent compared to the same time last year. This segment is led by the Isuzu F-Series, a favorite among companies needing dependable transport solutions for long-distance hauling and industrial use.
Meanwhile, heavy-duty Category V trucks accounted for 278 units sold and captured 40.3 percent of the market, also up by 4.4 percent year-on-year. The growth is fueled by demand from infrastructure projects and large logistics operations, where the Isuzu S & E Series has proven to be a reliable partner. These trucks offer high payload capacity, a strong chassis, and advanced features such as Electronic Vehicle Stability Control (EVSC) and an Advanced Instrument Cluster with Driver Coaching to help improve safety and efficiency.
Isuzu’s success also comes from its strong after-sales support, helping keep trucks on the road longer while reducing downtime and costs. Its wide dealer network and easy parts availability make it convenient for customers to get service when needed. Isuzu Mobile Medic provides on-site maintenance and diagnostics, while expert field engineers give technical help across the country. The company also trains drivers and mechanics to keep operations safe and efficient.
According to IPC President Mikio Tsukui, the company is thankful for the ongoing trust of Filipino businesses and private owners. He said the consistent growth this year makes them confident about closing 2025 strong, while keeping their focus on dependable trucks and good customer service.
