Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) extended its support to public healthcare with a recent donation to the Child Neuroscience Division of the Philippine Children’s Medical Center (PCMC). The turnover includes equipment, furniture, and fixtures intended to help outfit the hospital’s New Brain Center Building, specifically the Third Floor Left Wing. This section will cater to children dealing with neurological, neurosurgical, developmental, and behavioral conditions, with the added furnishings aimed at making the space more functional and patient-friendly.

The contribution comes at a crucial time as PCMC continues to expand its capacity to handle the growing number of pediatric cases requiring specialized neurological care. As one of the country’s leading pediatric hospitals, the facility serves thousands of families each year, many of whom depend on accessible public healthcare. With the new wing nearing operational readiness, IPC’s donation helps lay the groundwork for smoother day-to-day operations while improving the overall care environment for both patients and medical staff.

The formal turnover and signing ceremony took place at PCMC, attended by IPC President Mikio Tsukui and PCMC Executive Director Dr. Cecilia O. Gan. Both parties highlighted the importance of collaboration in strengthening healthcare services for children, particularly in areas that require focused and specialized treatment.

“PCMC fulfills a profoundly noble mission by serving one of the most vulnerable groups in any nation - our children. Through this donation of essential equipment, furniture, and fixtures, we hope to contribute to an environment where children with neurological and developmental conditions can receive the specialized care they deserve. Supporting institutions like PCMC is one way we can help strengthen the future of our communities.”

For IPC, the initiative is part of its broader corporate social responsibility efforts, aligning with global goals that promote better health outcomes and stronger community support systems. Beyond its role in the automotive sector, the company continues to take part in programs that contribute to the well-being of Filipino communities, reinforcing its presence not just as a mobility provider but as a partner in nation-building.

“We would like to thank Isuzu Philippines for embracing and supporting PCMC. This support will go beyond delivery of healthcare services, providing a better environment for our patients and for our healthcare workers providers,” said PCMC Executive Director Dr. Cecilia O. Gan.
