The updated Giga, a new concept truck, and electric models will take center stage at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show.

It’s been almost ten years since the 2nd-gen Giga truck got an update, and Isuzu is finally giving it a new look. Isuzu has announced that the Giga truck has been updated for the first time in almost ten years. The latest version comes with added safety features such as pre-crash braking for turns, a system to help avoid left-turn entrapment, side collision control, and a feature that warns about early signs of wheel detachment. Isuzu mentioned that these updates are aimed at giving drivers more peace of mind while on the road.

The Japan Mobility Show 2025 will happen at Tokyo Big Sight from October 30 to November 9. In the last event, Isuzu presented its first flat-floor electric bus called the Erga EV. This year, alongside the Giga update, Isuzu is also preparing to launch the world premiere of its Vertical Core Cycle Concept, or VCCC. This prototype is built to offer a flexible truck platform that can support different body styles. It’s designed to be useful for both business and personal use, including local community needs. The company shared that the model is made with a modular setup that allows users to switch out key parts, making it easier to adjust the vehicle to different needs and improving overall efficiency. According to Isuzu, this setup supports a more flexible way of moving goods and helps support better living for users and communities.

Aside from the Giga and VCCC, other models will also be featured at the event. One of these is the Isuzu Elf EV garbage truck. This version runs on electricity and is made for waste collection and disposal. It includes Isuzu’s own electric power take-off unit, which sends power from the truck’s engine or battery to run extra tools or machines. The company noted that this electric truck performs just as well as the regular diesel version but adds the benefit of being quieter and more eco-friendly.

Another model that will be on display is Isuzu’s low-floor, three-axle truck with a 25-ton gross vehicle weight. The brand shared that it’s the only truck of its kind in Japan. With its large cargo area and heavy load capacity, it’s made to help businesses move more goods per trip for better efficiency. Before the Giga celebrates its 10th year, Isuzu’s already working on a better version If you are looking for your next truck, find one that suits your business at TruckDeal.com.ph.
