If your business moves on wheels, chances are those wheels say Isuzu. With over 40 percent of truck sales this early in 2025, the numbers speak for themselves. Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) once again led the truck market with 1,592 units sold and a 43 percent share from January to April this year, based on a joint report by CAMPI and the Truck Manufacturers Association. This keeps Isuzu at the number one spot in the country for 25 years in a row.
IPC President Mikio Tsukui said that this shows how Isuzu trucks are built to last and are more affordable to maintain. He added that owning an Isuzu truck helps businesses avoid long downtimes, cut costs, and stay ahead in their work. The light-duty N-Series led the way with 905 units sold, which is a 7.2 percent increase compared to the same time last year. These trucks are a favorite among delivery and transport businesses, especially since the AMT (Automatic Manual Transmission) makes them easier to use in traffic.
The medium-duty trucks followed with 545 units sold and a 2.4 percent growth. These are mostly used for long trips and can be fitted with different bodies for various businesses. They also offer safety features for the driver. Heavy-duty trucks also did well, with 142 units sold, up by 59 percent from last year. Most of these came from the new S&E Series. The demand was pushed by ongoing construction projects and support from local government units. These trucks include features like Electronic Vehicle Stability Control and a smart dashboard that gives drivers coaching while driving.
Aside from its trucks, Isuzu’s strong aftersales service also plays a big role in keeping customers. The company offers nationwide dealer and parts access, on-site truck servicing through Mobile Medic, and support from expert engineers all over the country. Isuzu also trains both drivers and mechanics to make sure the trucks are used the right way, helping keep them in good condition and safe on the road.
Tsukui ended by saying they are off to a good start this year, and that Isuzu will continue to focus on giving customers the best mix of good products and strong support to keep its spot as the top truck brand in the Philippines.
