Hariphil Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), the authorized distributor of Hyundai commercial vehicles, welcomes the Hyundai HD50S GT Modern Public Utility Vehicle (PUV) Class 4 to their model lineup. With this new model, HARI has also become the pioneer in the industry to receive the coveted Certificate of Compliance (COC) for the aforementioned PUV category from the Department of Transportation this July.

By obtaining the newest certification for the HD50S Modern PUV Class 4, HARI has once again solidified its position as the pioneering company in the country to provide a complete range of vehicles that adhere to government standards. This accomplishment is par for the course for HARI as the company says it strongly advocates the PUV Modernization Program (PUVMP), an advocacy echoed by the company’s history.

In the preceding years, HARI had already received the COC for its Modern PUVs Class 1 and 2 in 2019, and for the HD50S Class 3 in 2020. Now, with the addition of the HD50S Modern PUV Class 4 COC, they have maintained this status throughout their lineup

“Hyundai’s truck of all trades, the HD50S, does it again, this time to bring more value to our current Modern PUV fleet offerings. With its new body application, the HD50S Class 4 is intended to connect rural towns to larger cities. That is why it has provisions for cargo, as well as forward-facing seats for all passengers, and a side door entry for easy boarding and alighting. Of course, it is powered by an engine that is Euro-4 compliant and powerful enough to take on various road conditions.”

HARI says that the HD50S Modern PUV stands out as the preferred vehicle for transport cooperatives in Regions 3, 5, and 7 thanks to a combination of power, fuel efficiency, durability, spaciousness, comfort, safety features, and dependable after-sales support. Additionally, this PUV model is rapidly gaining substantial support from cooperatives in NCR and Region IV.

With its remarkable attributes and growing popularity, HARI has successfully sold nearly 800 units of the modern PUV across the country to date—a good start for a future PUV here in the Philippines.
