Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) recently handed over a locally made Mitsubishi L300 to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) to help boost their mobility in responding to fires and other emergencies. This move highlights just how useful commercial vehicles can be for public safety, from emergency response to logistics and quick deployment.
Thanks to its compact size, solid payload capacity, and dependable performance, the Mitsubishi L300 is a great fit for frontline agencies like the BFP. MMPC President and CEO Ritsu Imaeda emphasized the importance of giving emergency responders reliable equipment. He said, “The Bureau of Fire Protection plays a vital role in safeguarding lives and communities. Through the donation of the L300, we aim to support the BFP’s operational requirements and help ensure that our firefighters are equipped with a reliable vehicle capable of performing under demanding conditions.” Imaeda also noted the pride in seeing locally produced vehicles make a real difference in public service, adding, “As a local manufacturer, we take pride in seeing vehicles produced in the Philippines contribute directly to public service.”
On the BFP’s side, Assistant Regional Director for Operations, Fire Senior Superintendent Douglas Guiyab, expressed heartfelt thanks to MMPC.
“The Bureau of Fire Protection Region 4A sincerely expresses its heartfelt gratitude to Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation for its continued support and generosity to the BFP, particularly to the BFP Sta. Rosa City Fire Station, Laguna. This support and initiative to the Bureau reflects strong partnership built on a shared commitment to public safety and community service.”
Guiyab added that the donated vehicle would be put to good use, enhancing emergency response capabilities and improving the service the BFP provides to the people of CALABARZON. The Mitsubishi L300 is built at MMPC’s Sta. Rosa, Laguna facility, supporting local jobs and contributing to the country’s automotive industry. On the road, the L300 continues to be a steadfast partner to Filipino businesses, providing durable and reliable transportation at an affordable price.
