Truck drivers spend most of their day on the road, so comfort and safety really matter. That’s why the new Volvo VNL 300, with its redesigned interior and advanced safety features, is catching attention abroad.

Verspeeten Cartage, a family-owned trucking company based in Ontario, Canada, has taken delivery of the new Volvo VNL 300. The company operates a fleet made up entirely of Volvo trucks, with 75 units in total, and has worked with Volvo Trucks North America for more than 30 years. Founded in 1953 by Archie Verspeeten with a single truck, the company has grown into one of Canada’s most respected carriers. It now specializes in full-load, just-in-time deliveries for major automotive manufacturers across North America, helping keep vehicle assembly plants on schedule.
The new Volvo VNL comes with a redesigned cab and chassis that improve aerodynamics and fuel use. Inside, the cabin is more spacious and focused on the driver, with upgraded seating for comfort during long drives. Volvo says the truck is built to deliver up to 10% better fuel efficiency compared to its predecessor, and Verspeeten Cartage is tracking its performance in day-to-day operations.
Company president Scott Verspeeten said that keeping drivers safe and comfortable has always been part of their business. He noted that the new VNL models add more features that drivers appreciate, from a smoother ride to added safety systems. The company also makes sure to choose routes that make sense for its drivers, so they spend more time on the road and less time dealing with breakdowns.
For Volvo, the partnership with Verspeeten Cartage shows the long-term trust between the two companies. Local dealer Gerry’s Truck Centre also supports the fleet with regular service and maintenance, helping ensure reliability and maximum uptime. Beyond business, Verspeeten Cartage also supports cancer research and care, a cause close to the family. The company said that giving back to the community will always remain part of its values, using its success to help make a difference.
Having the new Volvo in the Philippines would be a big help, especially for businesses that need safe and reliable trucks. While it hasn’t been announced outside Canada yet, you can still check out trucks for your business at TruckDeal.com.ph.
