The Dongfeng Captain N 14 ft is a 6-wheeler light-duty truck designed to cater to the growing demand for commercial vehicles in the Philippines. The 14 ft Captain N can carry up to 4,490 kg and has a wheelbase of 3,350mm. In terms of dimensions, the light-duty truck is 5,595 mm long, 2,005 mm wide, and 2,340 mm tall.
All variants of the Dongfeng Captain N 14 ft are powered by a Nissan-derived 3.0-liter turbocharged with intercooler, Double Overhead Camshaft (DOHC) diesel engine. The said mill can produce up to 138 hp and 330 Nm of torque, coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission. Moreover, the Dongfeng Captain N 14 ft is equipped with semi-elliptical alloy steel leaf springs with a hydraulic double-acting telescopic shock absorber suspension system.
In terms of convenience features, the Captain N comes with power steering, power windows, keyless entry, an audio unit with MP3, and an air conditioning system for a cooled cabin. This light-duty truck also gets a pair of halogen headlights for optimum vision on the road during nighttime.
This Euro IV-compliant truck has a fuel tank capacity of 110 liters. The braking system is provided by a hydraulic brake and dual circuit with vacuum assist. Aside from the aluminum van, multi-purpose body, dropside body, and refrigerated Van.
