Dongfeng Modern PUV
In compliance with the Philippines National Standard (PNS) and government’s Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program or PUVMP, Dongfeng Trucks Philippines released its Mini Bus public transport in 2019. This commercial vehicle aims to provide Filipino commuters a safer and a more comfortable ride. Locally, it is priced at P2,800,000.
The Dongfeng Mini Bus measures 8,250mm long, 2,360mm wide, and 3,170mm tall. It also comes with a wheelbase of 4,300mm. Long travels would not be a problem with its 135-liter fuel tank capacity. This mini bus can accommodate up to 33 people on board, including the driver.
Other essential features include power steering, power window, electric clock, a standard air conditioning system, and an audio unit with MP3 for added convenience and entertainment.
At the heart of this PUV is a 3.8-liter 4-cylinder, turbocharged with intercooler common-rail OHV diesel engine. This Euro IV-compliant powertrain can deliver a maximum output of 150 PS and 500 Nm of torque, coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission.
As for the suspension setup, the Mini Bus equips a semi-elliptical alloy steel leaf springs with hydraulic double-acting telescopic shock absorber. When it comes to safety, it features a full air brake, dual circuit.
