The Foton ETX is a heavy-duty 10-wheeler truck available in the Philippines. It is designed to deliver capable performance and reliability as well as to significantly improve the customer’s overall experience with the vehicle. The truck also boasts great safety and reliability paired with robust performance. The vehicle can be equipped with several rear body options starting with a dropside, F-van, or winged van.
As the cargo-focused model, the ETX N Cargo 6x4 comes with a wheelbase of 6,900 mm + 1,350 mm for its other axles. This lets the truck be equipped with a 32ft body that can be adapted to the needs of the customer. Thanks to its large size the truck has a gross vehicle weight of 35,000 kg and a payload capacity of 25,000 kg. With great capacity numbers, this makes the truck ideal for transporting cargo in one go.
Powering the truck is a 6.7-liter turbo-diesel engine that produces 270 hp and 970 Nm of torque. It shifts via an 8-speed manual transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. The truck rides on a longitudinal leaf spring suspension with dual-acting telescopic shock absorbers with stabilizers at the front and a longitudinal leaf spring with balance suspension and stabilizers at the rear. Stopping the massive truck comes from a dual circuit pneumatic brake system.
Other features of the N Cargo are central locking, power windows, electric rearview mirror, an air conditioning system, power steering, and airbag seats.
For its body configurations, the F-Van features an aluminum rear body that spans the length of the rear section of the truck. The box features sturdy aluminum paneling as well as a plywood floor to serve as a surface for the goods to be carried by this truck.
Customers looking for a more appropriate option for larger items may opt for the winged van. Boasting the same dimensions as the F-Van, the difference is that this variant is able to open its side panels which allow for cargo to be loaded even easier.
Industries like construction and agriculture can benefit from the Dropside variant of the ETX N Cargo. Similar to a pickup truck, it offers near-unlimited loading height along with a drop-door on the side of its bed for easy cargo loading and unloading.
