Debuted in 2018 for the Philippine market, the Hino 700 Series is composed of the Japanese brand's Euro IV-compliant, heavy-duty trucks. Hino Motors Philippines (HMP) aims to cater to the growing demand for quality commercial trucks in the country. The brand designed the 700 Series to help small, medium, huge companies with their logistic needs.
The FSP2MUD Dump is a 10-wheeler (6x4) heavy-duty variant of the Hino 700 series of trucks. It comes with a standard cab and a gross vehicle weight of 34,000 kgs, it also has a wheelbase of 3,750 + 1,410 mm. The truck comes equipped with semi-elliptic leaf springs with shock absorbers and stabilizers at the front and semi-elliptic leaf springs with torque rods at the rear. Stopping power comes from a full air braking system that comes with spring brakes acting for the front and rear wheels.
Powering the FSP2MUD is a 10.5-liter turbo diesel engine that produces 340 hp and 1,483 Nm of torque and is EURO 4 compliant. It shifts via a 12-speed transmission that sends power to the rear wheels.
The heavy-duty truck comes equipped with a dumper rear body that makes it applicable to construction sites and cargo hauling applications. Other rear body types can also be equipped for the truck depending on the needs of the customer.
