Hino 700 Series SS2PKUA Tractor Head Overview
Debuted in 2018 for the Philippine market, the Hino 700 Series is composed of the Japanese brand's Euro IV-compliant, heavy-duty trucks. Hino Motors Philippines (HMP) aims to cater to the growing demand for quality commercial trucks in the country. The brand designed the 700 Series to help small, medium, huge companies with their logistic needs.
The SS2PKUA Tractor Head is a 10-wheeler (6x4) long-wheelbase heavy-duty variant of the Hino 700 series of trucks. It comes with a standard cab with roof fairing, a combination mass of 60,000 kgs, and a wheelbase that measures 3,300 + 1,310 mm. The truck is equipped with semi-elliptic leaf springs with shock absorbers at the front and semi-elliptic main and auxiliary leaf springs with shock absorbers and torque rods at the rear. Stopping power comes from a full air braking system that comes with spring brakes acting for the front and rear wheels.
Powering the SS2PKUA is a 10.5-liter turbo diesel engine that produces 368 hp and 1,565 Nm of torque and is EURO-IV compliant. It shifts via a 16-speed transmission that sends power to the rear wheels.
As a tractor head, this makes the truck ideal for towing heavy or awkward cargo. Thanks to its powerful engine it can be attached to multiple kinds of trailers depending on the specifications of the customer.
