Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) started on August 7, 1995, forging forces with Mitsubishi Corporation, Ayala Corporation, and Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation. While that being marked as the birth of the company, Isuzu actually made its local debut back in 1950 through its line of trucks. Apart from its other family vehicles like the Crosswind, mu-X, and D-MAX, the brand is mainly known for its tried, tested, and trusted commercial vehicles and diesel engines as guided by its corporate slogan, "Your responsible partner".
Isuzu Motors is a Japanese commercial vehicle and diesel engine manufacturing company headquartered in Tokyo. It began its journey in 1916, with Tokyo Ishikawajima Shipbuilding and Engineering Co., Ltd. planned a cooperation with the Tokyo Gas and Electric Industrial Co. to build automobiles. Years after, the brand managed to build its first car named the Isuzu Bellel by 1962. Given the mere situation of Isuzu being a small producer making cars, the brand therefore spent some time looking for a commercial partner. Fast forward to 1972, Isuzu joint venture with General Motors (GM). As a result the brand began selling consumer and commercial vehicles under their own brand in the United Stated by 1981.
For the Philippine market, Isuzu offers a wide range of commercial vehicles, from light to heavy duty trucks. Currently, its truck portfolio is composed of the N-Series, F-Series, and the C&E Series.
It now has a total of 42 dealerships nationwide and is headquartered in Biñan, Laguna, Philippines. Today, IPC is managed by its current president, Hajime Koso.
