The Constellation 17.280 Tractor is a tractor truck version of the Constellation truck. Sitting alongside its Rigid truck counterpart in the lineup, the Constellation 17.280 Tractor is powered by a MAN D08 36 280 turbo-diesel engine pumping out 280 hp and 1050 Nm of torque between 1100 to 1700 rpm.
As this truck is meant for hauling semi-trailers, the Constellation 17.280 Tractor only comes in one body style. Like the 17.280 Rigid, stopping the 17.280 Tractor are air-actuated drum brakes on both the front and rear wheels. These brakes are equipped with standard safety features, including an anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), and automatic traction control (ATC).
