Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation has finished 2021 strong as the truck maker has come out on top with 28 percent more vehicles sales across all segments compared to last year. With this new momentum, the truck maker isn’t done resting just yet as it also has launched a new Euro VI-compliant lineup of trucks for the Taiwanese market as well, which took place back on December 23, 2021.

For the Taiwanese market, the new Fuso Super Great now comes with a new OM470 common-rail engine along with ShiftPilot AMT system for a smoother driving experience. It also comes with 13 percent more horsepower and 10 percent more torque along with a cleaner environmental rating. The Fuso Canter lineup has also been revamped as well as it now comes with a new 7.9-ton model for customers looking for a more capable truck for their business needs.

The update to the Fuso lineup in Taiwan comes from the market being one of the most vital markets for the brand. It currently represents the second largest international market for Fuso and sales in sales in the area have remained strong despite the pandemic. Growth has also been steady as the truck maker has achieved the status of top-selling commercial vehicle brand in the Taiwanese region for the 30th consecutive year with a market share of 33.6 percent.

Sales have also been particularly strong for the brand in the light-duty segment as sales of the Fuso Canter saw a 45 percent increase in units sold in 2021 compared to 2020. Even across other segments, the Japanese truck maker was also able to get great sales figures as Fuso has reported a 28% increase compared to the previous year. With great momentum behind it, it looks like Fuso wants to continue its progress into the coming year as it could also launch the new Euro VI-compliant trucks into other regions such as in the Philippines soon.
