Fuso Super Great

The Fuso Super Great in the Philippines is the Japanese brand’s Tractor head truck in the country. It consists of two variants the 6-wheeler FP-R 4x2 and the 10-wheeler FV-R 6x4. The gross combined weight of either of the variants of the Super Great varies, however, it ranges from 45 tons to 55 tons.

The Fuso Super Great comes powered by a in-line 6 12-liter turbo diesel motor that produces between 395hp to 449hp. In terms of the torque the large diesel engine pushes out between 2,000 to 2,200 Nm of twisting power depending on the variant. The Fuso Super Great comes with a 12-speed automated manual transmission that sends power to the rear axles. It also comes with a Power Take-off function for both the truck and the tractor head. The truck comes with a reverse Elliot “I” beam type axle at the front and a Fully floating Banjo-type axle at the rear. Suspension comes in the form of a parabolic leaf spring with shock absorbers and stabilizers at the front and inverted leaf springs with trunnion base at the rear or a multi-leaf spring system with helper springs depending on the variant. Stopping power comes in the form of wedge type air brakes that also come with dual circuits. The truck also comes with a wheel park type parking brake and an engine brake that utilizes the exhaust system.
