Built on a platform shared with the C36 passenger van, the EC36 maximizes the potential of electric powertrains. It features a 60kW motor and a 41.86kWh lithium-ion battery, delivering power to the rear wheels. This setup balances performance and efficiency, boasting a torque rating of 200 Nm and a top speed of 100 km/h. The battery system is optimized for urban and inter-city commutes, offering a generous range of up to 300 km on a full charge.

The EC36's suspension system comprises MacPherson struts at the front and leaf springs at the rear, a configuration commonly found in commercial vehicles known for durability and cost-effectiveness.
