Scania INTERLINK LD Big Bus Overview

For the Interlink models, LD stands for “Low Decker,” and this model features the lowest roof height in the series. Being an Interlink model, however, the bus is still geared towards city-to-city transport solutions and can be had in a variety of lengths and axle configurations.

In terms of size, Scania provides chassis that range from 10.9 meters, all the way to 15 meters, the latter of which has up to three axles for maximum load-bearing capacity. As for the LD’s maximum passenger capacity, Scania advertises that its 15-meter model can house up to 71 seated passengers, which includes the middle-row occupants.

Powering the Interlink series of models in the Scania lineup is the brand’s line of either 9 or 13-liter engines that can be configured to run on a variety of fuels ranging from bioethanol, biogas/natural gas, biodiesel/HVO Hybrid, or Biodiesel/HVO/Diesel. Customers that opt for the 9-liter engine option can expect horsepower and torque figures that range between 280 hp and 1,250 Nm of torque, all the way up to 360 hp and 1,700 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the 13-liter engine option is the most powerful of the range, featuring up to 490 hp and 2,550 Nm of torque, and it is only available powered by diesel.
